The Command Department is primarily responsible for overseeing the running of the entire chapter. While each department has their individual responsibilities,Command is responsible for ensuring that all departments meet their obligations.Command processes member's applications, and fulfills all STARFLEET requirements. Promotions, awards and decorations, and personnel transfers are all controlled by the Command department. The Command department is also responsible for developing ship policy and ensuring compliance.
Welcome to the Engineering Department."What do engineers do?" Well, if you have ever taken something apart to see how it works, or added a piece to an object to make it work differently then you already express similar interest as we in the Engineering Department do. We also like drawing technical designs, maps, and anything even remotely scientific. We crave anything high-tech to include gadgets and tools. If it is anything that will improve a persons lifestyle, then you know an engineer must either own it or, at least, know something about it.
The medical department is an essential part of the ship, All the Genesis medical team are trained to the upmost level of proficiency and are looked upon by starfleet command as one of the best combat medical teams currently serving in Starfleet. The medical department also boast a EMH- emergency medical hologram that is capable of traversing the whole ship without difficulty.
The Operations Department main function is to assist the commanding officer and the executive officer. This will be carried out by the Chief of Operations.
* Chief of Operations - This person is responsible for all aspects of Operations. The chief is reportable to the command staff. The chief is authorized to appoint personnel to any of the positions in Operation Department, but is ultimately responsible for their actions.
The USS Genesis does not have a Science Department as the Genesis is designed solely for its defensive capabilities and not Scientific Exploration, but we do however have a team of dedicated science specialists onboard and are regarded a a valuable resource to the success of the day to day operations of the ship.
The Security department has many duties such as selecting meeting places, sending out reminders, arranging transportation to meetings, as well as provide security at ship's meetings and functions.
* Chief of Security - Is responsible for the overall function of the department and to be available to help the staff however possible.
The Communications Department is charged with insuring all sub space messages are dispatched and received internally and externally without interruption. The Communications crew are trained in the use of multiple alien languages in the case of a major problem of the universal translators, a mistake in translation could mean war.
